Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data UGCdesk collects on this website during the presale, why, and what your rights are. It applies under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for visitors in the EU/EEA, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect and why

• Waitlist. Your email address, and if you choose to give them, your country and the link that brought you here (for example an Instagram campaign tag). We use them to tell you about UGCdesk's launch and to understand where interest comes from. Legal basis: your consent, given by confirming the link we email you (double opt-in).
• Rate calculator. The calculator runs in your browser and stores nothing. If you ask us to email your breakdown, we use your email address and the numbers you entered only to send that email. We don't add you to the waitlist unless you tick the box and confirm.
• Founding purchases. Payments are processed by Polar (Polar Software Inc.), which acts as merchant of record and handles payment details, invoices and taxes. We receive your name, email address and order details from Polar to give you access to UGCdesk. Legal basis: performance of the contract.
• Usage statistics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It works without cookies and does not identify you personally. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing which pages are useful.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies. Polar may set cookies on its own checkout pages.

Service providers

• Vercel Inc. (website hosting and analytics)
• Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.) (sending emails and storing the waitlist)
• Polar Software Inc. (checkout and payments)

Some of these providers process data in the United States. Where that happens, transfers rely on the EU-US and Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Waitlist data is kept until you unsubscribe or until UGCdesk has launched and you have had the chance to join, after which we delete it. Purchase records are kept as long as the law requires for accounting (up to 10 years). Unconfirmed signups are never stored.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, and take it with you. You can withdraw consent at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to us. You can also complain to a data protection authority, in Switzerland the FDPIC.
